Making use of the masses of data being collected daily will be one of the biggest ICT challenges faced by Canadian enterprises.
As we moved towards a more online based lifestyle, data analytics will be extremely important for the growth and diversity of various businesses.
The "Big Data" has many issues but the challenge is making use of it. There are serious issues with storage and this data may not be available forever therefore it is important to use this data before its gone.

Business Analyst or Software Engineer
Between a software engineer and a business analyst, I would prefer to be a business analyst. I do not know enough about computers to be a programmer nor do I have interest in learning. I prefer to look at the theory, the content and the reasoning for the software. Also, I would prefer to use the software over preparing it.

PC or Mac? Is That a Question?
petGRO has recently decided to update their office desktop and are in a debate between PCs or Macs. The option, however, is pretty clear - cut….PC all the way!
--> In comparison to Macs, PCs have more programs and applications associated with their software. PCs are stronger for developing tradition soft ware, finance, project management, office administration and data entry and processing.
--> Windows 8 provides superior speed, stability and functionality, with very few problems.
--> With all the data processing petGRO does, it is important to have large amounts of available storage, although you can get an external hard drive, its always easier with PC to upgrade hardware.
--> The past year had many malware attacks on Macs, shattering the image of their premium security, setting up the appropriate anti-virus program on you PC will ensure your computers safety
--> PCs are overall much cheaper then a Mac, you can get a functional PC computer for as low as $500 whereas the most you can get at the Apple Store for that much is maybe an iPod shuffle?
Therefore the answer is clear, well there was not a question to begin with, petGRO needs to go with the PC and they'll be totally satisfied

Targeting & Developing Desktops and Mobile/Tablets
- Windows and Internet Explorer are both performing exceptionally well in comparison to their competitors and therefore Marketing, Sales & ISTD do not need to focus in targeting or developing their desktops
- Marketing, Sales & ISTD should target the development of mobiles/tablets because of growing market shares as well as efficiency in the use of mobiles and tablets
- iOS has a higher market share and trend in the mobile/tablet market for both browsing & operating systems but they are not the company I would advise these departments to invest their time into
- More software companies are coming out with mobiles and tablets that are set to out perform iOS and these are the products Marketing, Sales & ISTD divisions should target, for example Windows is coming out with the Surface which has high future potential
